Food and Company presents .. Meditative Meals!


Welcome to Meditative Meals, and an introduction to Food and Company!  
The theory behind meditative meals is to construct a meal that helps to foster the kinds of thoughts that put you into a state of positive meditation.  Did You Know?? .. that a clean meal is also a great way to clean up self-talk?  When you have a clean meal in front of you, listen to your incessant voice in the background.  You'll find that it's relaxed, cheerful, and pleasant.

Quinoa, Sautee Shrimps with Carrots, and Cucumbers.


Adding a cucumber salad to your plate is a great way to incorporate a refreshing bite.  Cucumbers also aids in bringing a calming effect to your dinner time. By nature of simply slowing down, you aid your body in digestion, and let your subconscious mind catch up to the fact that you've eaten.  This eliminates overeating, and creates a feeling of pleasantness not hurried and scurried thought.  Look at the photo below of a meal that's actively being eaten.  Can you notice the difference in the feelings you get when you slow down to take notice of this picture, versus just glimpsing briefly at the first photo of the uneaten plate?


Here's a Challenge!  Try preparing a Meditative Meal this week.  Journal about your findings.  Then repeat as many times as you feel it's positive and purposeful for your rejuvenation, and then return to the Blog for more inspiration on clean meals and combinations you might enjoy!
