Welcome Back to The Beauty Inside-Out Beautician blog and Raise the Roots "The Tri-on". In this 3rd part, we're going to look at fashion as Pageantry, Benediction, and Apotheosis... when Moral Images, Traditions, and Proverbs creates new customs.
Not like a formulaic tale or a romantic comedy, Formulaic Institutionalism is not the familiarity we run to. When pageantry is all plaid and no bikinis, aesthetic is never a fall from grace. In a world of fashion blogs and social media shopping, there's no wonder it feels like we've come a far way. Although, somewhere in all the celebration, someone hits the curb and we fall back to a plaid and pompous benediction. Hidden behind picnic plaid bathing suits, there is less room for tolerance or personal proverb. Catholic minded shoppers looking for the right amount of balance; the right amount of length, and not too much color.. find themselves overlooking a sex trafficking row of square necklines and ribbed knit models.
What appears to be individual zeal and freedom, bows thoughtfully to all the parameters in the tradition of fashion. A razzlers pose and a bunny's bow gets a shy or unfavorable glance, while it's the clean row that lingers with buzzing and bulging behind the crotch. It's a home away from home. It's a visionary's board with no seeming directors. It's forerunners are a hem away, and its promoters are a gem away from owning the whole world. But it's all divine. It's all divine for the pinner who has an inspiration to take style from fashion.
It's all happening at the same time... perversion, the strong desire for favor, and the transforming effect of divine grace. Look around and you probably won't notice the political system or social hierarchies until it's time to Raise the Roots, and Tri-on your eyes for size. Is it a modeling agency, a retail giant, or a place to find the independently-grown proverbs of tomorrow. If you've never seen a society transform, it'll be another ten years before you find a single disturbance, but if you're asking the right questions, then perhaps there's enough time for you to fight for some old customs.
