Why all the fairy dust and the cosmic pull? It's just something about being hidden that makes life bigger than you, and being in disguise that enlargens the cause.
Welcome back to IQ- The Question of Image and question number two of the series The Hunt, the Catch , and the Cloth. We hope you're enjoying and sharing this new Loose Leaf series. Well, the question itself is easy. Obviously, one cannot be seen and the other is seen but not accurately. This time we're looking at the word Image in the actual sense and not necessarily as a matter of dress. So hidden... Let's say- To avoid speculation. And disguised- To provide a subject for speculation.
In the introduction to the series, we paired hidden with the word engaged. And I think it works. Think of a house that has an offer on it. That house can no longer be shown. Therefore all speculations has been put on hold. Sometimes in matters of dating, you will feel like you're invisible. At such times, you should stop and take a moment to assess. It is possible that God has already put an offer or a contract in place for your hand. While you can jump from book to book, blog to blog, friend to friend looking for a sound word or some epic breakthrough.. the truth may be that no oversight has been made and no breakthrough is needed. Perhaps just add prayer to the list and remember to ask the right question about Image.
On the matter of being in disguise, this is not about being unwrapped and/or unassuming. In this case, the question of Image may be.. "Who am I advocating for?" And the answer may not be left up to you. If in dating you often feel misperceived or misunderstood, stop and take a moment to examine these two cases of Image that God often uses for His purposes. And remember, if God thinks you able enough for the task of being in disguise.. then you're probably the right one for the job. So put down your heels and pick up that cape you've been planning on wearing. Everything in its due time.
